Today I enjoyed making a simple lunch for my daughter, her friend and I. Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup is one of my favorites and I enjoyed cooking on my new cast iron skillet that my husband bought me for Christmas. I think it even made the sandwiches taste better :) Enjoying the house more and more as I am able to clean and recover from Christmas and all the excitement. I am really looking forward to sorting and donating Christmas decorations tomorrow and anything else that I think needs to bless someone else's home. Enjoy your evening :)

I sure agree with you. Our meals are becoming simple and healthier. My mother was bed ridden for 11 years and even though at the nursing home part of those years she could not speak so I spent any time I could find making her life better. I moved just 2 weeks before she became sick. Worked full time and looking after mom left no time. I retired recently and found "like things" here and there. Some needed to be trashed others to Helping Hands. Other things I'll try a garage sale in the spring and my daughter is going to Ebay some books, DVD, good purses etc. When this is all done the carpet will be cleaned, windows washed, and I'll be ready to sew for my Etsy shop. I am washing fabric and pressing it as I have time now. What a burden lifted to see life organized and and my home coming together comfortably. Bless you as you accomplish all that you want to.
I am sorry to hear of your loss Rita. Your mom was truly blessed to have such a loving daughter with her during this difficult time. Best wishes to you as you organize and prepare a special place for sewing.
