Ahhhhh Rain

We are having such a dry spell here in the midwest.  Well we are not alone many many places are having drought conditions and crops and animals are suffering.  However today thankfully we had rainfall and it was absolutely wonderful!!!

This is rain covering the steps and sidewalk, it filled up my pond and watered the plants and all the fields and hopefully helped fill the ponds for the cattle.  I am not sure how much rain we got but I am so thankful for the amount we did receive.  It cooled the temperature down from the high 90's to mid 70's for a while and it was wonderful.

I wasn't able to work on painting the shed today because of the rain but DH and my Dad hope to finish the shingles tomorrow and I hope to post a picture of the progress.  Then it will be time to pick up the construction scraps and tidy up the yard and trim it up a bit.  The work is never done but it is rewarding to look out on a nice and tidy property.  I am so thankful for the help from my Dad and all the hard work my husband does to keep our house up so nicely.

Today along with rain DD2 and I went to my beehive group and joined the ladies there.  We had a wonderful time visiting and sewing.  I started a new dishcloth and finished that when we returned home and started another.  I love knitting dishcloths as they keep my hands busy and I feel like I am also making something useful and being productive at the same time.  DD2 said she thinks the one I made today is her favorite :)  It's the little things and I treasure then all!  Wishing everyone beautiful weather and moments to treasure this weekend.

Glad to hear you had some rain after such a heat wave. Hopefully it stays a bit cooler for you for a while :)

I love making dishcloths too. I have too many now, so am looking to make something else to keep my hands busy, maybe a little crochet for a change...

Enjoy the cooler weather and I hope you are able to get to those jobs around the house soon :)

What a difference !! Here in The Netherlands it has been raining off and on for weeks now and we are craving for the Sun.
I hope you will have more rain, but not too much ; ) There is something like too much of a good thing ; )
Have a great day.

We are in the middle of a bit of a heat wave here in NH as well-80's and 90's with over 60 % humidity. It's been brutal. Our streams have been drying up a bit as well. We hope to have rain soon-please send it our way!

Sadly Ladies the rain was short lived though I am very thankful for it :) It is really warm now and our ponds and streams are also drying up. The Netherlands sound nice about now that moisture would be lovely :)
