I hope by now, everyone has had a chance to go visit the DTE forum. It is a truly wonderful place and I would love to visit with you over there as well as here :)
Eventually I will have a moment to catch up on all that we have been doing in our lives, but for now I will just pick up where we are at the moment.
One of my favorite things to do in the summer is go to the river. I made a goal to myself to go at least four times this summer. I don't know if I will be able to but I would like to and our first trip down was early enough in the summer we still have plenty of time to go again... that being said, we were invited to go by some friends that are sponsors for an exchange program for students. We went on one of the first beautiful clear days since all the storms and floated down the river while also doing a community service project for the exchange program of clearing the water way on the way down. We splashed and played and stopped and picked up trash along the way. Then we played some more and kept floating down the river. It was a lot of fun!!! We picked up a lot of trash and half a set of tires! It was a good experience and I'm thankful we went. We couldn't have started the summer off any better!
